AquaX is the fastest growing personal watercraft championship in the world. Its rapid growth is owed to a simple, yet challenging race format that appeals to todays personal watercraft users.
This year the program will include the unveiling of a professional level race series and expansion of two further championships in the Great Lakes region of the USA and in Southeast Asia.

The West Flanders seaside resort of Ostend will see Belgium host a P1 AquaX EuroTour event for the first time when the series partners with BK Offshore, promoter of the Belgian Offshore Championship, to serve up a feast of personal watercraft and powerboat racing this weekend (June 29-30).
The North Sea beaches of Ostend have drawn tourists since the 19th century when it was a fashionable holiday destination for royalty and aristocracy, and today the town is also a sizeable port for cargo traffic particularly across the English Channel.
The race weekend will be the 2nd round of the Endurance season, presented by Experience Kissimmee, and the 3rd round of the Sprint championship. The Yamaha EX/EXR Cup will complete the busy schedule. Racing will take place off the waterfront promenade.
Koenraad Van Nieuwenhove, Race Director at BK offshore, explains that the Belgian Championship which he founded is all about enjoying being on the sea: “Our competitors want to have fun together and they enjoy racing in rough water. The North Sea is not for the faint hearted. The racers don’t pay entry fees and there is no prize money – our sponsors, particularly Remeha who have been with us since the start, keep the championship alive.”
Global Head of P1 AquaX, Lisa Barsby, herself a former world champion jet skier, is looking forward to the P1 AquaX EuroTour racing in Belgium for the first time in partnership with BK Offshore: “It’s going to be a busy and exciting race schedule and we will be serving up a feast of high-speed action over the two days. As always, our aim is to excite and entertain, and we hope that residents and visitors to Ostend will enjoy the weekend of fast, furious and free to watch marine motorsport featuring an international field of racers.”
Two leading AquaX riders Alex Barret and Thomas Favolini from France are set to continue their battle in the Pro Enduro division. whilst Mike Testa and Maxime Benoit will go head to head in the Amateur 300 class.
