P1 AquaX

AquaX is the fastest growing personal watercraft championship in the world. Its rapid growth is owed to a simple, yet challenging race format that appeals to today’s personal watercraft users.

This year the program will include the unveiling of a professional level race series and expansion of two further championships in the Great Lakes region of the USA and in Southeast Asia.

IJSBA National Championships ready to roll with AquaX in Chicago

Chicago will once again play host to the IJSBA National Championships as the annual event once again teams up with P1 AquaX.

The IJSBA National Championships have taken place alongside AquaX for the last two years with Foster Beach playing host last year after a successful event in Cocoa Beach in 2015.

Whilst racing stays in Chicago for another year it is the 31st Street Harbour that will play host to proceedings this time around as the AquaX Pro Series reaches an interesting climax at its penultimate event of the 2017 season.

Action will begin on Saturday 9th September and conclude on Sunday 10th with over 50 riders set to compete across all the classes on show this weekend as the IJSBA racing is scheduled in between the AquaX Pro Series and final round of the AquaX North East Series.

The IJSBA National Championships will run in two hour slots with each class completing one race on Saturday, after an extensive practice session, before two races round off the weekend on Sunday.

Riders are expected to face tough racing conditions as the 31st Street Harbour will provide some serious chop as the water bounces back off the harbour walls ensuring a level playing field for all involved.

Azam Rangoonwala, P1 USA Managing Director, said: “Chicago is a major international city and we are delighted to bring a top class jet ski event to the area for a second year running. The combination of the IJSBA National Championships and AquaX brings the very best of our sport together for an exciting weekend of racing.”
