P1 AquaX

AquaX is the fastest growing personal watercraft championship in the world. Its rapid growth is owed to a simple, yet challenging race format that appeals to today’s personal watercraft users.

This year the program will include the unveiling of a professional level race series and expansion of two further championships in the Great Lakes region of the USA and in Southeast Asia.

International field of PWC riders to compete at East Lake Toho

More than fifty riders are heading to Central Florida for the SBT P1 AquaX Kissimmee/St. Cloud Grand Prix this weekend (September 21-22). Featuring both Pro and Am Enduro action, the two-day event will see East Lake Tohopekaliga welcome riders from six countries to battle for points in the AquaX national championship.

Short Block Technologies (SBT), the largest personal watercraft aftermarket parts company in the world, is the title sponsor of the series, which kicked off in Daytona Beach in April. The championship receives television coverage on the Bally Sports Regional Networks.

With St. Cloud on its southern shore, East Lake Toho will be the race venue for the eleventh time and P1 USA Director of Operations, Michelle Petro said: We always look forward to returning because we receive such a warm welcome from both presenting sponsor Experience Kissimmee and the City of St. Cloud. We regard this event as our hometown race with it being so close to our Orlando race headquarters and the very first venue we visited in Florida in 2013. We are expecting flat conditions on the lake this weekend so the racing should be fast and furious.”

Racing will commence at 11.00am on Saturday and 10.00am on Sunday, with the podium awards presentation taking place in Lake Font Park at 3.30pm on Sunday. The park will also be the location for the pits.

The final two race events of the season in October and November will take the riders to Florida’s Gulf Coast, with St. Petersburg and Clearwater being the host venues.
