P1 AquaX

AquaX is the fastest growing personal watercraft championship in the world. Its rapid growth is owed to a simple, yet challenging race format that appeals to today’s personal watercraft users.

This year the program will include the unveiling of a professional level race series and expansion of two further championships in the Great Lakes region of the USA and in Southeast Asia.

La Porte Hosts P1 AquaX Amateur Enduro Racing

We were delighted to return to Northern Indiana, where we always receive such a warm welcome. LakeFest provides a great atmosphere for our race event.

It was LakeFest weekend in the City of La Porte in Northern Indiana – a festival boasting three days of music, art, food and family entertainment – and once again at the heart of the annual event was P1 AquaX racing.

The spotlight was on the Amateur Enduro 300 and 200 classes in round 3 of the SBT-sponsored AquaX series, and the flat water of inland Stone Lake produced fast and eventful racing on the 1-mile course. Along with the speed came some spectacular dismounts.

The opening 300 class race saw New Zealand rider Noah Skipps open up a commanding lead until a racing error caused him to take a spill, allowing Ian Smith to celebrate victory followed by Joe Demario and Todd Czarcinski. The following race was equally exciting with Skipps overcoming his earlier disappointment to claim victory. Ian Smith and Cayman Island rider Cline Glidden finished second and third. Race 3 mixed it up with Canadian rider Nathan Dalli winning over Noah Skipps and Cline Glidden after an unfortunate mistake by Ian Smith causing a disqualification.

This season’s Amateur 200 class is extremely competitive with some talented young riders emerging. Kayden Baldwin took the overall win followed by Cooper Caldwell and James Munroe Jr.

P1 USA Director of Operations, Michelle Petro said: “We were delighted to return to Northen Indiana where we always receive such a warm welcome. LakeFest provides a great atmosphere for our race event.”

The SBT P1 AquaX national series will move on to Central Florida in September with Kissimmee/St. Cloud hosting the action, before the riders head to the Gulf Coast for the final two rounds of the season in St. Petersburg and Clearwater in October and November.
