AquaX is the fastest growing personal watercraft championship in the world. Its rapid growth is owed to a simple, yet challenging race format that appeals to todays personal watercraft users.
This year the program will include the unveiling of a professional level race series and expansion of two further championships in the Great Lakes region of the USA and in Southeast Asia.

P1 AquaX personal watercraft riders will be heading to Daytona Beach this weekend (April 17/18) for the opening race event of the season as the international personal watercraft racing promoter prepares to celebrate its tenth season. This will be the seventh year of AquaX racing at this mecca for motorsport and Hard Rock will again be the host hotel.
A total of more than fifty professional and amateur racers, including a record number of new riders, will compete in the two-day Grand Prix that features high-speed endurance and sprint racing in the awesome surf conditions. P1 USA Championship Manager, Michelle Petro explains: “Daytona Beach often lives up to its reputation for serving up extreme conditions, making it the perfect venue to kick off our season after an eighteen-month hiatus because of the pandemic. Outstanding locations and host venues contribute enormously to our event offering.”
“On behalf of the Daytona Beach area, we want to extend a warm welcome to all the AquaX competitors and team members this weekend,” said Kay Galloway, marketing and design director with the Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. “Daytona Beach is known the world over for its world-class racing and we are thrilled that the AquaX series will once again kick off its 2021 season right here on the Atlantic waves.” At the beachfront Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach, its general manager Androse Bell commented: “We are looking forward to P1 AquaX returning to the hotel. We feel the excitement of racing suits the Hard Rock vibe completely.”
Heading to Florida this week from his home in North Carolina will be the 2019 AquaX Pro Enduro US Champion, Brian Baldwin whose first ever race was in Daytona in 1999: “Coming in as the reigning national champion, my main thoughts for 2021 are to be consistent, with one goal in mind – to win another national championship. Daytona conditions are always brutal and exactly the way I like. To win there takes a lot of skill and a little luck.”
“The two days of racing will be filmed for a one-hour TV highlights show to be broadcast internationally in more than 100 countries and via Bally Sports Regional Networks in the United States, “ adds Petro. “Next month we make our fourth visit to Cocoa Beach on the Space Coast and then Sarasota will welcome the riders at the end of June. It’s going to be five months of fierce, fast and hugely competitive sport and entertainment at five great venues, and we can’t wait to get started on Daytona’s testing ocean waters.”
