AquaX is the fastest growing personal watercraft championship in the world. Its rapid growth is owed to a simple, yet challenging race format that appeals to todays personal watercraft users.
This year the program will include the unveiling of a professional level race series and expansion of two further championships in the Great Lakes region of the USA and in Southeast Asia.

P1 Aquax forced to cancel race weekend later this month and Bahamas World Championship moves to November 2021.
P1 AquaX has announced the cancellation of its race event at Daytona Beach on the weekend of August 22-23 due to ongoing restrictions resulting from the current state of Covid-19 in Volusia County.
This news means that AquaX has been unable to stage any races in a year that has seen coronavirus decimate the global sporting calendar in the most unexpected and devastating fashion. “It’s been a hugely frustrating time when we should have been celebrating AquaX’s tenth anniversary,” said P1 USA Championship Manager, Michelle Petro. “Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach will honor the reduced rate for racers if they would like to keep their booking and relax at the hotel for the weekend or they can cancel for free. We’ll be returning to Daytona Beach next April when it hosts the opening event of our 2021 calendar.”
Like all rights holders, P1 has been addressing both immediate issues and engaging in longer-term planning as Lisa Barsby, Global Head of P1 AquaX, explains: “Outstanding locations and host venues contribute enormously to our event offering, with the focus on raising the profile of the race venue, attracting visitors, encouraging local involvement and boosting the regional economy. We are targeting international growth by continuing to pursue opportunities to race in new markets outside the United States and Europe next year. We have received a lot of interest from local race organisers wanting to take on the AquaX rules and racing format - including the Cayman Islands in the western Caribbean Sea - and new partnerships will enable us to extend our international presence and rider database by working with local promoters to recruit new riders and attract sponsorship. It’s a ‘win, win’ relationship.”
The P1 AquaX race calendar in 2021 will include the USA Pro national championship and Amateur racing in Florida and Indiana, the EuroTour Pro series in Western Europe together with events in the UK and partnering with BK Offshore in Belgium, and the Bahamas World Championship at the Atlantis Resort, Paradise Island in November.
