AquaX is the fastest growing personal watercraft championship in the world. Its rapid growth is owed to a simple, yet challenging race format that appeals to todays personal watercraft users.
This year the program will include the unveiling of a professional level race series and expansion of two further championships in the Great Lakes region of the USA and in Southeast Asia.

Powerboat P1 has today announced the cancellation of the remaining P1 AquaX EuroTour events this year in Blankenberge, Belgium and Port Balis, Spain. The decision was taken as a result of safety concerns and travel restrictions arising from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Lisa Barsby, Global Head of P1 AquaX, said: “We’re very disappointed to have to take this action as we were looking forward to working with AquaX promoter BKOffshore in Blankenberge for the second year running as well as returning for the fourth year to Port Balis. However, with the risk of further coronavirus outbreaks in Europe and uncertainty surrounding the possible reimposition of travel restrictions, we are not prepared to ask riders to make travel and accommodation bookings for these events that could subsequently be cancelled.”
“Our attention will now focus on finalising the 2021 AquaX race calendar which will include events in the United States, Europe and The Bahamas,” added Barsby.
Despite the cancellation of the AquaX EuroTour event on Belgium’s North Sea coast, AquaX promoter BKOffshore is continuing with its plans to host the national series providing that local regulations allow. Koenraad Van Nieuwenhove, managing director of BK Offshore, explained: “It’s very disappointing that we have to suspend international competition for 2020 but, subject to local social distancing regulations, we will endeavour to continue to provide national championship racing for our riders here in Belgium.”
The second round of the BKOffshore Championship is scheduled to take place on the weekend 22nd -23rd August in the resort town of Zeebrugge. For the first round race report click here
